The Hostel

The Ostello Montano dei Briganti is a privately managed public facility. Located at the foot of Mount Gorzano, in the heart of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, the hostel is a few metres from the Tordino river and near an equipped picnic area. The structure overlooks one of the squares in the village of Padula, where parking is convenient. The building, constructed in typical Laga sandstone, is in perfect harmony with the architecture of the village; it has an independent entrance equipped with a ramp for disabled access. On the ground floor is a large common room heated by a modern pellet stove and furnished with tables, chairs, cupboards and sofas, ideal for group dinners, parties or small conferences. Next to the lounge is a fully equipped modern kitchen (4-burner stove, electric and microwave oven, espresso machine and refrigerator), complete with crockery and cookware for every need. Both rooms are available to all guests. Also on the ground floor is a room reserved for the disabled with a private bathroom. On the two upper floors are the other 6 rooms (3 per floor), each with a private bathroom with shower. Four rooms have two bunk beds, while two rooms have only one; four rooms also have a small terrace. The total capacity is 20 beds, plus one reserved for the disabled. All beds are provided with sheets, blankets and duvets, while the bathrooms have soap and toilet paper. In the basement, guests can make use of a reading and work room with a bookcase and sofa. Adjacent to this area is a mini-market selling basic necessities and local products. The hostel is ideal for individuals, families, scout groups, schools or hikers, and is perfectly suited for both organised and self-managed stays throughout the year. It is also a great place for rest or smart working stays.

The Name
"Brigands" Mountain Hostel"

Costantini noto come “Sciabolone”.
ucciso dagli stessi briganti.
